Based upon Mae Carden's philosophy of teaching and learning, we believe that the goal of teaching is not to regiment the student, but to nurture each personality and develop self-reliant students.

I have been working for Carden Academy since its establishment in 1973, and as Principal since 1990. I continually do my best to provide the safest and most inspiring learning environment for all Carden children. My personal goal is that each student develops mental, emotional, and physical stamina, and attains the freedom of a well-adjusted personality. The Carden Academy of Santa Clara realizes that each child has the potential to become a truly superior person, and we take great pleasure in watching our students grow, seeing their smiling faces, and watching them experience the daily joys of learning.

For children to enjoy coming to class every day, a positive relationship needs to be formed between the child and their teacher. Our faculty is trained in the Carden curriculum and teaching method, and we strongly believe in keeping the class sizes smaller to ensure that each child is getting the attention and guidance they deserve. Our students are also taught French and Music, and have the opportunity to participate in various sports and after-school activities, such as sports programs; our boy's flag football team, our girl's volleyball team, and our talented acting club.
